Timothy Stearns

Timothy Stearns is the holder of the Coleman Foundation Chair in Entrepreneurial Studies and Founder/Executive Director of the Lyles Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at California State University, Fresno. Stearns received his doctorate in management from Indiana University. He previously was a member of the Management faculty at the University of Wisconsin, Madison and Marquette University. Stearns has authored more than 75 research articles and presentations. He was elected to Chair of the Entrepreneurship Division of the Academy of Management in 2006 and 2008. Stearns is co-founder of the National Network for Technology Entrepreneurship and Commercialization, Kids Invent!, and the American Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, LLC in partnership with educators in Singapore. In January 2009, Stearns was elected a fellow of the U.S. Association of Small Business and Entrepreneurship, one of 51 Fellows who have been inducted since 1986.
