Hackbert, Peter

Peter H. Hackbert, the Moore Chair of Entrepreneurship and Management and Co-Director of the Entrepreneurship for the Public Good Program at Berea College and former Siebens Endowed Chair of Entrepreneurship at Sierra Nevada College, and his student teams have presented an active learning technique called the One Page Business Plan (Horan, 1998) to a variety of new venture audiences over the last three years. Most recently they presented to graduate students and faculty within the engineering, technologies and science communities at the Academy of Entrepreneurial Leadership, The University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, to rave reviews. Previously the workshop was field-tested at the 2004 and 2005 Native American Entrepreneurs training program conducted by the California Indian Manpower Consortium, the 2003 and 2004 National Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization annual conference, the 21st Annual Entrepreneurship Forum in 2004, the 2003 Annual Global Conference of the Academy of Business Administration, and the 2003 MarkEd Conclave to excellent reviews. They have created over 300 OPBP plans for nascent entrepreneurs.

Halliburton, Cal

Cal Halliburton has three decades of experience teaching, consulting, training, and delivering seminars on a variety of creative methods of teaching and learning. He currently devotes his time to preparing teaching and learning materials for the Theory of Constraints (TOC) and the Theory of Inventive Problem Solving (TRIZ). He is a certified TOC JONAH and a certified TRIZ Practitioner. During thirty-five years as a classroom teacher he taught thousands of students, designed and implemented innovative curricula and teaching methods, and developed entrepreneurial education programs. Halliburton serves on the Entrepreneurial Education Task Force for the State of Iowa.

Harms, Richard

Scott Browne and Rich Harms have been researching, teaching, and consulting in the areas of entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation, and private equity since 1995.
High, Karen

Karen High earned her BS from the University of Michigan in 1985 and her MS in 1988 and PhD in 1991 from the Pennsylvania State University. Dr. High is an associate professor in the School of Chemical Engineering at Oklahoma State University, where she has been since 1991. Her main research interests are sustainable process design, industrial catalysis, and multicriteria decision making. Other scholarly activities include enhancing creativity in engineering practice and teaching science to education professionals. Dr. High is a trainer for Project Lead the Way pre-engineering curriculum. Dr. High is involved with the development of an undergraduate entrepreneurship program at Oklahoma State University.
High, Martin

Martin S. High co-directs the Legal Studies in Engineering Program at Oklahoma State University and is an associate professor of chemical engineering at Oklahoma State University. He also serves as an engineering licensing associate and attorney in the Office of Intellectual Property at OSU. Professor High earned his BS, MS, and PhD in chemical engineering from Penn State, and a JD from the University of Tulsa. He is licensed as an attorney in Oklahoma, registered as a Patent Attorney to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and licensed as a professional engineer in Pennsylvania.

Hill, Rodney

Rodney Hill currently holds the Harold L. Adams Interdisciplinary Professorship in Architecture and the Eppright University Professorship in Undergraduate Teaching Excellence at Texas A&M University (TAMU). His professional interests include environmental psychology, creativity, future studies, architecture, and sculpture. He is the recipient of numerous college, university, state, and national teaching awards, including the 2007 University Honors Scholar/Research Award, the 2007 Wells Fargo Honors Mentor Award, and the 2006 Champion of Creativity Award at the American Creativity Association (ACA) International Conference. He regularly delivers keynote addresses and presents papers at national and international conferences, including the World Future International Conference for the last nine years, and the ACA Annual Conference since 1993. Professor Hill is Board Member for the Institute for Applied Creativity at TAMU, and an active member of the American Institute of Architects, the World Future Society, and the ACA, where he served as a past board member.

Hoff, Marcian

Marcian (Ted) Hoff led the team at Intel Corporation that designed the first single-chip computer CPU. Hoff received his BEE from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY. He attended Stanford University as a National Science Foundation Fellow and received his MS (1959) and PhD (1962) in electrical engineering. He joined Intel in 1962 In 1980, he was named the first Intel Fellow, the highest technical position in the company. He spent a brief time as VP for Technology with Atari in the early 1980s and recently retired as VP and Chief Technical Officer with Teklicon, Inc. At Telklicon, Hoff provided expertise in engineering and physical and information sciences to clients involved in litigation. Hoff was inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame in 1996. He has served as a final phase judge of the Collegiate Inventors Competition for the past two years.

Howe, Susannah

Susannah Howe is director of the Design Clinic and visiting assistant professor in engineering at Smith College. Howe is a civil engineer in the area of structures and mechanics. Her research interests focus on enhancing the sustainability of structural materials, such as the incorporation of waste materials and the durability and performance of alternative and natural building materials. Howe received her BSE from Princeton University in civil engineering and operations research (1996), with a concentration in structures and mechanics. At Cornell University, she earned her design-based mechanical engineering (1998) and PhD (2000) in civil and environmental engineering in the sub-area of structural engineering. For her doctoral work, she developed an experimental program to analyze the hydration and microstructure of concrete materials.
Hudnut, Paul

Paul Hudnut is co-director of the Global Innovation Center in Energy, Health and Environment at Colorado State University, where he works on the commercial development of environmentally friendly technologies for the developing world and teaches entrepreneurship classes at the College of Business. He has recently established a new graduate business program in Global Social and Sustainable Enterprise at CSU. His background is in building companies, technology transfer, and intellectual property and his current interest is in applying entrepreneurial approaches to large global challenges to human health and the environment. He is a founder and director of Envirofit International, Ltd. and currently serves on the board of directors of New Belgium Brewing, CaringFamily LLC, and Inviragen, LLC. Mr. Hudnut earned his BA from Colorado College, his law degree from University of Virginia, and has completed the Program for Management Development at the Harvard Business School.
Hull Grasso, Susan

Susan Hull Grasso is an engineer who has practiced for over fourteen years in both private firms and governmental agencies. She holds undergraduate degrees in civil engineering and environmental sciences engineering (both summa cum laude), and a MSE in environmental engineering, all from the University of Michigan.
